Artiste multiforme, KACEM WAPALEK évolue tel un électron libre. Il arrive à se distinguer sur scène et sur disque grâce à un univers riche et résolument singulier, qui réconcilie la plume, la rime et le flow avec l’humour, le sens et la poésie.
KACEM WAPALEK officie dans le milieu du hip-hop français depuis plus d’une dizaine d’années. Mais Kacem ce n’est vraiment pas que du hip-hop.

Il n’y avait plus rien. Le genre avait disparu. Cette chanson française si particulière que l’on aimait tant, à la fois tendre et engagée, semblait s’être éteinte. L’héritier de Georges Brassens, Jean Ferrat et Renaud, pourtant lui toujours vivant, était introuvable. Quand soudain (roulement de tambours ou “tatatinnn” comme dirait ce même Renaud) déboule Gauvain Sers. Un seul morceau a suffi pour convaincre que ces grands aïeux avaient enfin engendré une digne descendance. En écoutant “Pourvu”, qui ouvre son premier album, on peut successivement esquisser un sourire, serrer les poings, sentir ses yeux humides et surtout avoir envie de chanter à tue-tête une mélodie qui s’inscrit déjà très haut dans le répertoire de nos grandes chansons populaires.

La musique voyage partout. Elle n’a pas de frontières et se transmet d’âmes en âmes. C’est dans cet état d’esprit que Naâman, la révélation reggae de ces dernières années,  sort en automne 2017 son troisième album, Beyond. Dans ce nouvel opus, Naâman va plus loin dans ses aspirations musicales, que ce qu’il a pu proposer auparavant. Au-delà des vibrations Reggae et Hip-hop, il s’imprègne de la Soul, emprunte à la musique latine, pose sur des rythmes caribéens. Cet éclectisme lui permet de partager davantage sa philosophie de vie.

Pour Naâman, le reggae a donné un sens à sa vie. Avec son flow inimitable, il extériorise tous ses sentiments. Si son public n’a jamais cessé de skanker durant tout ce temps, c’est certainement grâce à cette faculté qu’il a de transmettre ses émotions et de les partager avec tous ceux qui l’entourent. Sa musique reflète sa personnalité, authentique et spontanée. Il ne joue pas un personnage, il est sa propre personne.

Habitué à enflammer les publics du monde entier, Babylon Circus revient avec un nouveau live et un nouvel album plus rock !
Presque vingt ans à voyager et à partager leurs rencontres, leurs espoirs et les épreuves, avec le public pour navire, qui les a portés et qu’ils ont emporté partout. De Lyon à Sydney, de New York à Annonay, du Sziget au Womad, ils ont fait le tour du monde plusieurs fois, en un peu plus de 1500 concerts.
La bande de potes qui voulait faire du « reggae-ska parce que c’est cool», s’est retrouvée à jouer sa musique, sans étiquette, sans style attitré, avec pour moteur l’envie de découvrir, de mélanger et de rassembler. Tout ce qu’ils ont rencontré leur a pris et donné quelque chose. Ils se sont métissés, ils ont grandi, sont tombés et se sont relevés, toujours plus eux.

Entièrement interprétée par des musiciens, la Natural Trance est composée de rythmes et de sonorités aussi bien avant-gardistes qu’ancestrales. Batterie et basse sont la plate-forme d’expression pour la guitare, les percussions multiples et les chants ainsi qu’une variété d’éléments tels que le sitar, le didgeridoo ou les tambours amérindiens… Certains instruments sont reliés à des effets en «real-time» générant des sons atypiques et expérimentaux. Grâce à l’ingénieur son, au créateur lumière et au régisseur scène, chaque concert devient une expérience sensorielle unique. Le light show nous plonge encore plus dans l’ambiance, les musiciens sont connectés avec le dancefloor et à chaque concert le temps semble s’arrêter pour laisser place à l’intemporel.
