Après avoir côtoyé pendant 10 ans le milieu de la publicité parisien, VANUPIÉ quitte son travail, sa vie, et part à l’aventure. À partir de cet instant la musique habite sa vie. Les dix années qui suivent, ce chanteur à la voix extraterrestre travaille son univers : de la Soul, de la Pop, une touche de Reggae venant épicer tantôt sa voix, tantôt la musique dans un discret skank de guitare acoustique soutenue par un basse/batterie d’exception.

Il enregistre un premier album en 2013 : «Freebirds».
Pour sa sortie, il produit seul une date à la Cigale. Petit à petit un public fidèle se rassemble autour de cet artiste atypique. Dès 2013, il passe par les plus belles salles de France et d’Europe ouvrant les concerts d’artistes tels que Shaka Ponk, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Asa, The Wailers, Alpha Blondy, Tryo,… A paris, il continue à jouer dans le métro où il partage un concert promotionnel avec -M- à la station Jaures et il rencontre le réalisateur de Cinéma François Dupeyron qui utilisera par la suite 4 titres de l’Album pour son dernier film diffusé dans toutes les salles de France.

Après une tournée ininterrompue de plusieurs années en solo, VANUPIÉ repart sur les routes avec ses musiciens. Depuis février 2018, le groupe écume les salles et festivals de France et d’Europe, laissant toujours derrière lui le même sentiment de bien-être et de liberté a un son public. Plus de 70 concerts en 2018 en passant par les plus belles scènes : Rototom Sun Slpash, Bobital, Fête du Bruit, Festival Darc, …, et autant prévus pour l’année 2019.
